Sylvan Learning Academic Check Up, flexible day/time scheduling

Wondering how your child is really doing academically? Find out if your child’s academic skills are on track. Sylvan can give you an in-depth look with our Academic Checkup! Our assessment for grades K-12 pinpoints your child’s unique strengths, areas that need focus, and even behaviors or attitudes that may affect performance. Our Academic Checkup is just $49 for Sit-a-Bit partners.

Class Experience:

Your Sylvan teacher will begin the assessment with a fun connection builder to get to know your child before heading into the academic portion. Then, your child will complete a series of activities in reading, math, and writing, used to build a personalized profile of your child’s current level of understanding, fluency with reading out loud and answering math facts, and writing abilities. Along the way, your child will earn tokens for hard work and focus that can be redeemed in our Sylvan Online Motivation Station for prizes. After the assessment, our Sylvan staff will meet with you to review the results and discuss what an individualized learning plan would look like for your child.

Duration: 90 Minute

Recurrence: After your first assessment, your child will be eligible for lifetime testing through Sylvan.

Teacher Experience: Our tutors and staff consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids. Each knows how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.
