About AKALA
AKALA's award-winning College Advising program is a hybrid of technology and one-on-one counseling that helps alleviate one of the most stressful time-periods for parents: their child’s journey to college. Students have access to the AKALA platform to build their college profile starting as early as 7th grade and AKALA then guides their decision-making all the way through high school so that they are the best possible college applicants that they can be by grade 12. They also better qualify for scholarships and merit aid that bring down the crippling cost of college. The platform provides in-app search tools for colleges and majors, and a library of videos to learn about careers and pathways. Students are matched to an expert college counselors and meet with them monthly. Students and parents receive comprehensive support to navigate the complex and stressful college admissions process.
