Financial Adulting-Budgeting

In this class, we will build from the financial adulting toolkit class to discuss why, how and types of budgeting. Student will learn budgeting tools to get started on building their own budget. Participants will learn the importance of and how to set budget targets. We will discuss money saving ideas. We will also discuss next steps after a budget is set.
This class will use Nearpod (an award winning student engagement platform) as the teaching platform, and include practical discussions, activities, games, and educational video clips. Attendees will walk out with a list of budgeting to-dos that will give their high school graduation checklist a head start.
This interactive class focuses on learning in an online environment. The virtual setting provides students a fun way to keep learning through various activities designed especially for online delivery.Â

Parent Notes: To monitor and encourage student engagement, cameras must be on, and students must be on the camera for the entire length of the class. Additionally, all participants must be enrolled as students and have their own devices.

Sumeit earned her Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University, MBA from Babson College and was recently featured by Babson for fighting the gender investment gap. She holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Northeastern University.
