There are several different types of investment opportunities that will be uncovered during the game. Learners will learn what those types and then get a chance to practice their understanding. We will use a combination of lesson games. – Learners receive cash to invest in their game. – During the game learners get a chance to brush up on investment type and have opportunities to create a diversified portfolio – Reflection questions follow the game, and the class will compare strategies they used.
Class Setting: In this fast-paced stock market simulation, we’ll use a combination of learning lessons and games.

Teaching methodology: We will use games and hands-on exercises to provide students opportunities to learn, make mistakes and learn again in a safe environment.

Supply list:Â A one page handout will be provided in the form of Google docs. Learners have the option to complete it as exit ticket or reflection.

Parent Notes: To monitor and encourage student engagement, cameras must be on, and students must be on the camera for the entire length of the class. Additionally, all participants must be enrolled as students and have their own devices.

Sumeit earned her Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University, MBA from Babson College and was recently featured by Babson for fighting the gender investment gap. She holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Northeastern University.
