DE&I Pioneer Dr. Terri Cooper Joins EnrichedHQ Advisory Board
Retired principal at Deloitte Consulting brings a wealth of leadership experience and a commitment to supporting working families
BOSTON — July 12, 2022 — EnrichedHQ, a leading provider of high-value enrichment activities and content for school-aged kids, today announced that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) pioneer, Dr. Terri Cooper, joins the company’s advisory board. She brings a wealth of corporate leadership experience in healthcare, life sciences, and consulting as well as DE&I and will assist EnrichedHQ with increasing market awareness. EnrichedHQ supports working families by offering a central hub of skills-based enrichment programs for kids grades four and up.
Dr. Cooper is a former principal at Deloitte Consulting LLP, where she most recently served as vice-chair of external diversity, equity, and inclusion. In this role, she focused on fostering Deloitte’s external brand and drove market-facing efforts. In her prior role as Deloitte’s chief inclusion officer, Dr. Cooper drove Deloitte’s focus on the Six Signature Traits of an Inclusive Leader, which includes an emphasis on cultural intelligence and cognizance of bias across the organization.
“I am joining the EnrichedHQ Advisory Board as I’m committed to the advancement of women within the workforce,” stated Dr. Cooper. “The COVID-19 pandemic clearly illustrated the inequities that remain for women related to childcare, which are driving women from the workforce and leading to significant stress and burn out. EnrichedHQ has a truly innovative platform to help alleviate this stress for working mothers but at the same time prepare the next generation of youth for the professional work environment. I see my role as an ambassador for the company and ensuring the large corporations that I have had the pleasure of working with over the years are aware of this unique asset and how it can be leveraged as part of a forward-thinking benefits package to not only address advancement but also retention of women in the workplace.”
“We enthusiastically welcome the wisdom and experience that Dr. Cooper brings to the EnrichedHQ advisory board along with her passion for helping working women who struggle with balancing work and family responsibilities,” stated Carleen Haylett, CEO at EnrichedHQ. “EnrichedHQ’s mission is to help full-time working parents, primarily women, with addressing the need for skills-building activities beyond what is covered by school curriculums. At the same time, we assist companies in retaining and attracting talent by offering EnrichedHQ as a benefit to employees. Our corporate programs provide one option for helping working parents better balance work and family responsibilities. As a result, employees remain engaged and productive in the workplace.”
Dr. Cooper has spent more than two decades in leadership and strategic advisory roles in the life sciences and health care industries. Most recently, she served as Deloitte’s Global Healthcare Sector leader in the US. Before becoming a consultant, she spent eight years in the pharmaceutical industry, in roles ranging from research to clinical development, regulatory affairs, sales, marketing, new product development, and licensing. She contributed to the launch of a major pharmaceutical brand while also maintaining the growth of existing products in competitive therapeutic markets. Dr. Cooper frequently participates at industry conferences, speaking on topics relating to Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion as well as issues affecting the Life Sciences and Health Care industry.
